- Client BSW Timber
BSW Timber launched a new product line of Heat Engineered Architectural Timber and as such needed a name and brand to take this exciting new product to launch.
I took inspiration from the product range’s Japanese roots, IRO (which means colour in Japanese) has a direct connection to Shō Sugi Ban and Yakisugi (the processes used to create the treated coloured wood). In addition to this, the name is short and easy to pronounce and helps create a sense of intrigue.
In addition to creating the brand name, brand identity, initial collateral, advertising and website I also worked with BSW team to create names for each of the 15 colours in the palette – drawing inspiration from nature and the vibrant palette of the timber.
To fully take the product to market IRO needed an easily accessible mobile responsive website. I designed a clean and simple website to best showcase this stunning and innovative product and create and generate leads.
I created a templated style of adverts that could be easily scaled up and down and repurposed to a variety of different publication sizes by utilising the clean square shape of the identity along with clean white space and short snappy headlines and call to actions.
